Hello guys!
I joined this forum 2 years ago but i didn't come here regularly... at all :D
Now, here's one very short clip i did (in my bedroom), it's no fancy playing, just some riffage.. I'm interested how do you like the guitar tone?

Short clip

There are just drums and guitar, no bass

Thanks for listening!

00:08 guitar?

What I heard sounds good, but...(Remember: at 00:03, you already had played all "sequence chords") Then, too short mp3 to a final opinion.

They're all pretty short (~1 minute) but recorded in all sorts of way, V-amp, pro gap, VSTs, some miked, some direct..

Actually, it wasn't recorded direct :p :D
setup was:
Gibson LP Studio into Behringer GM108 (15watt analog modeling amp, around 60$ new), miked with a 2.5$ "Genius" pc microphone -> SBLive! 5.1 soundcard, Cubase VST... That's it..
here's the pic of the microphone:

Very nice tone. I was wondering as I listened that it may have a bit too much bottom end if you were to add in a bass guitar. But you won't know until you try. Stand well on its own though.......nice playing too.

Will you be putting up whole songs sometime - you know with bass/vocals?

:D :) :D :)

Another songs on your site Sounds pretty good !!!

I record a song on a Mesa Boogie studio .22 (15 or 16 years ago), and don´t forget ...very good amp!!!
Altough I think another mp3 sounds good too,and even more "on face", your
"MESA .022 recordings" maybe will sits better on a mix, cause is an EXCELENT amp

sounds pretty good to me. it just depends on how you use it. sounded pretty good for about 8 seconds though. ;)

Yeah i know it has too much low end.. i didn't have bass in mind when i recorded/mixed it :) Some other clips on my site will probably someday evolve into songs but this one.. who knows.. i recorded this just to test that amp when i got it ;)

Thanks Ciro, really! ;)
Yeah, i absolutely love my Mesa... it does everything i want, it's lightweight, loud, and most importantly - sounds better than any amp i have ever tried. Never selling mine!

Thanks mate! ;)

Great decision to not sell it...

In nowadays "plug in and software guitar amp times", you have a precious sound with your .22 !!!!!

FEk! NO wonder I thought it was direct! You did really well with the equipment you have.

Viva le lofi creempie.
You would have to think carefully when adding bass. You'll either have to radically EQ carve both guitar & bass or re work the guitar tone before recording.
I have one of those mics - it's connected to my net computer for answering machine messages & custome noises.
