How would you describe this tune?

The intro seems to build up into something, but it... just continues with it, which took me a little by surprise. Once I got over that, I think this is a good laidback song. Relaxing lounge music with great production. It's kinda backgroundish, and doesn't require that much attention from the listener, but it creates a nice hazy mood, and I like the weird mood you conjure with this song :) There's all kind of small stuff going on, which all add to the mystique and aunthentic feel. Almost like being there. But where? I don't really know.

I'd describe this tune as lounge-tune with a porn-flavour ;)

Dear Crankster,

The song was inspired by a business trip I took to Helsinki, Finland in January of 2000. It was a very surreal experience because it was extremely cold (it lies above the 60th parallel) and very foreign to me (with the Russian architecture and strange languages). Spooky. Trippy.

I loved every minute of it.

As for the build up. I always wanted to do a song where the vocals didn't come in for a LONG time. I got the idea from some of the tension created by the English band Talk Talk. In my song, the vocals don't come in for about 2 minutes... mission accomplished.

Cheers,
Jason

How did you know I'm Finnish? Or did you just check my other posts ;) I guess it would be a surreal experience visiting Finland, because sometimes, the snow can make things look like the north-pole.

Wow that got ugly for a min.,...a real gut buster for me.My we are sensative, myself incuded. "Winter..." was a cool song, not my music but still cool enough to mention. The Lennon tribute song was way sappy and melowdramatic for my taste,YUK!!
Gidge was right to me.You could have posted a song on under your name for free on nowhereradio.Com and waited for reply.Instead you used a free website to sell your merchandise and I take offense to that ,sir!
You should all take a Zanax.

I'm sorry to those of you who view MP3.com as a commercial site. I've never thought of it as such because in my experience people only want free music on the web, and this is absolutely fine with me.

In other words, I've had about 2,500 free downloads of my songs. And ZERO CD sales. I couldn't care less about selling CDs, and I'm sorry that some of you are so threatened by the prospect of one of us making enough money to cover the cost of producing, say, 50 copies of our work.

I'll erase the CD (which I've never sold) from MP3, if it'll make some of you happier. But, honestly, I don't think any of us are out to make money are we? I make more in 1 hour as an engineer than I've made in 5 years of writing and recording songs!

On another matter, where can I post a song for this forum WITHOUT it being on MP3.com (the offending website, from what I can gather)?

Thanks,

jsr

PS - I never set out to cause any controversy, and I am quite surprised that my innocent request for input has lead to this small avalanche.
