hi all,
i want to record some vids for you tube and have just started messing around with the Triaxis recording outputs. my intention is simultaneously video myself and record a seperate, high quality audio track..which i will later attempt to sync up in iMovie. I have the option of using my condensor (Rode NT1-A) to mic up the cab (i dont have an SM57..but this could be an option?)..i wanted to talk on the vid, but if this isnt viable i would simply do cutaways to the guitar playing.
Guitar playing is my thing, NOT recording..its something i hated awhen doing my music degree and its something i still hate years later...(just coz im a numpty) HOWEVER...these days, its something weve all got to get to grips with sooo...HELP ME PLEASE!
i really, really DONT want to have to resort to using my Line 6 Pod..i hate the vile waspy tone..but it is easy..i want to use my rig.
When using the recording outputs from the pre, there is so much noise and hiss as to make everything inaudible-plus the guitar sounds cheap and nasty...im not using the FX loop at the momnet as i dont have a stereo spitter cable so its also recording the guitar dry..which i dont like. the amazing sound and feel coming out of the cab bares no relation to what coming out of the monitors.
Are there any gurus out there that can give me some good advice on this as ive been putting off recording for you tube for too long and its time i got out there...
cheers guys!
