HOW TO RELIEVE GAS?

Take that Ric 330 through a couple compressor pedals, start cheezing out to the Yardbirds and George Harrison.

I do it.

..buddy of mine let me cut out, on his new guitar. Had me gas'n for his $300 Casino Gold Electromatic. So sweet from his lil blues jr. amp. Use a Keeley mini compressor. Jam.

Then I tell myself it is made in China and the gas is gone.

i just bought another compressor pedal. I've had 2 Keeley four knobs, and sold them. I broke down and got an MXR Studio.
Should be here tomorrow.
Not that I need it. I have 3 dbx 266xs in my rack,

If you want a standard compressor Boss CP-1x silver screw(has a meter)
or
like if you want it as an effect try a DOD Milk Box pedal?

Yeah, MXR is fine.
There are lots of people who don't like Keeley pedals.

What's your basic chain... an OD, and then a Compressor, then the amp input?

I don't foresee the mass produced made in China guitars going up in value. Ever.

Yes, the China made Gretsch Electromatic is an incredible deal.

The past held many Gas worthy instruments. Remember the Fender Aerodyne guitars? Oh that Telecaster.
or the Fender Boxer ? Those are Japan origin, Aero's and Boxer's.

I loved that lil red Tele. The Fender Boxer.

Don't underestimate China. They're getting better by the day, while the US rips you off by the day.
Definitely an understatement...They are kicking ass and taking names in every sector.....Their rail system basically cutting edge...our rail system in the Conestoga wagon category. We stopped sales of chips from U.S. to China....No problem... dumb asses..... we'll make our own...who needs ya

Smart! Electric / magnetic propulsion rail is the way to go and you're using both there.

There is no way to stop it.

I found a Fender VI for $1000 in Monkey money

So cool , It will go with my Fender Jazz , V, and now VI. Has the mute and bass trem.

For those weird sessions where different isn't enough and you want 'Alien'.

A Gretsch Baritone G5260 or a Fender VI.

So you know I liked the aerodyne series telecaster. While I was picking up the Fender VI my buddy Dave was demo-ing a Jackson Surf Caster. Cool little offset string through solid body. I cannot get off the body sculpting on this Jackson. The back was carved to give extreme access to the upper frets like I never seen before. Making it a very likeable tone machine, that kinda reminds me of a Telecaster in some ways. Very unique. Yet familiar. look.

" I read that neck was a "modified 'C'" "Not chunky, but not too thin" I loved the tone on my Gold Top, I jusf hated the neck,
You like a thin neck? or a link'n log ? The PRS Santana is about as chunky as I 'd get. Some of those C's are egregious.

Ibanez has the Wizard neck, but Jackson's compound is thinner. Built for speed. Chords are managable.

So, currently, it's an Ernie Ball volume pedal, to an MXR Studio Compressor, to a Beringer Klon Centaur clone, to a Tube Screamer, to a Boss DD-3T, to a Boss CH-1 and out.
It's pretty fine as it sits, but, my sensibilities tell me that the compressor should go between the TS and the delay. It makes no sense to me to compress the signal then OD it. I would go a step further and think that the compressor should be the last link in the chain. IDK.
But then, it depends on the guitar. The PRS loves this set-up. A little Centaur and a touch of TS, plugged into the Fender tube, it has Santana all over it. Take the TS out and it cleans up nicely with a little growl.
I have 3 Epis: an LP w/soap bars, a Casino w/dog ears, and an LP with Duncan Phat Cats. All of them really like the Centaur. For a cheap knock off, that pedal was more than worth it.
I have 3 Strats: 2 with Duncans and 1 with Frailins. The Frailins, IMHO suck. They're thin, and tinny and have no personality at all. I went whole hog on the Frailins, pre-wired, treble bleed, blend. Awful guitar. The other Strats are OK. A little TS w/o the Centaur gets a nice quack with some good tonal range. Kinda Robert Crayish. It can get quite funky a la Nile Rogers or Mark Knopfler with just delay.

I just recently moved half my stuff upstairs: keyboards, computers, etc. Plus my buddies like to leave their stuff here so in the living room there's my
Fender Blues Deluxe, a Fender Champion 20, a Roland AC33, 2 Orange amps, a Yamaha MO8, an M-Audio Oxygen 49, a Zoom L-12 board, rolling cart, pedal board, 7 guitars, a pair of Alto 350 speakers and furniture. Pictures don't do it justice, but I should on "Show me your studio". :ROFLMAO:

That's a pretty windy answer to a simple question. But, hey, it's Sunday. I have broken ribs, I can't breathe, I'm sore as shit, and a dog who want's to go out.

Yeah man, it has always been rock n' roll to go OD then Compressor.
