Well, bearing in mind that unless you have a four input sound card you'll need to dedicate Track Four to the Sync Code, I don't see why not.
If you do have a four input card that opens up a whole world of possibilities. You could use the four track to record bass, rhythm guitar and stereo drums, then fly them over to whatever recording software you have and then use the 424 as a front end mixer to add the overdubs in the comfort of your own home.
