I recently bought a Tascam 414 mk2 4 track and i have recorded a few things with it, but when i take the tape out and try to play it on a conventional tape player it is about a 1/4 of the normal speed.
How do i remedy this problem any help would be great.

The Tascam 414mkII is a 2x High Speed recorder.

The "master" tapes made with the 414mkII are not directly compatible with standard stereo cassette players. You must mix down and dub your music from the 414mkII to a standard recording device, such as cassette or the ol'puter (then burn to CDR), for "regular" listening purposes.

To dub from the 414mkII to a standard stereo cassette deck, you'd need a simple RCA-RCA stereo cable. To dub from the 414mkII to the ol'puter, you'd need an RCA-to-1/8"-Stereo Y-adapter cable, (Y-cable). ;)
