How much RAM for Cool Edit

How much RAM do I need on my computer to run "cool Edit".
A friend told me I should be all set with my 80.0, but I don't know.

Yes, if you have 80mb of RAM, it will work just fine. Generally, the more ram, the better (faster) it will perform.

80 is a weird number for RAM, what kind is it?
It should be enough, but RAM is really cheap right now and you may want to upgrade just for general purposes. 256 is nice to have
