AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2.1 Ghz Overclocked)
120 GB Hard Drive
1 GB PC400 DDR RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 5700LE 128Mb
M-Audio Delta 1010LT Sound card
Diablo 420Watt Power Supply (worked wonders taking hiss out of recordings!)

Not the best, but it works just fine!

Prescott P4 3.0 GHz / 800 MHz FSB
1 GB (2 x 512MB) Corsair CL2 Memory

Recording with XP, you NEED 768 MB to 1 Gig. Don't really think that vast quantities of RAM above that would help though.

Hmm got the 3.0 ghz processor with a gig of ram...I'm looking to put another gig in.

2 gig with P4 3.0 and 3 120gig drives (2 in a raid). pretty solid rig.

Well, I have 1.3 GB Rams, so I picked the closest option of 1.5 .
P4 2.66 gigglehurts.
60GB WD drive / 120GB Seagate drive

With these polls, there should really be a way to change your vote. I've just bumped from G5 dual 2GHz with 1.5G RAM to G5 quad 2.5 GHz with 2.5G RAM, and I'd love to make that 2.5G number jump from 2 to 3....

P4 3.0C @ 3.52 GHz
2GB RAM
ASUS P4C800-e Deluxe
Lots o' hard drives and space (~720GB total)
M-Audio Delta 1010LT
M-Audio Firewire 1814

So, how do you add more RAM to a PC?

I've got an ABIT #NF7-S with an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (333 Bus) and 1024 Megs of Kingston DDR Memory (PC2700 #KVR333X64C25/512).

Is there some kind of "DDR Adapter" to allow you to plug more than 1 stick into each DDR Socket?

Tim

Depending on the board it will have multiple dimms for RAM. My PC boards all have 4 dimms so I can put 4 seperate sticks of RAM in. They do not make adapters to accomodate more than what you have dimms for.

p4 3.0ghz prescott w/ HTT and 4gb ddr400 ram.

apparently there's just no need

?

amd 64bit x2 4400+ dual core
msi k8n neo2 diamond.
2 ghz corsair dual channel ddr 400
and presonus firepod

I need a new board, my msi is screwed up, doesnt like the ddr400, is out of date for the processor, and is naff. (ok it was partly due to a flashing bios incident  )

Can anyone reccomend me a firewire based board that will be optimal for the x2 setup?

Many thanks

James.
