Heyhey.
Okay.. I have a Celeron 400 and am about to add another 128 meg of ram because it's DAMN cheap ($120) which will then total 196 meg. 30gig 7200rpm drives are also going cheaply at the moment... so I'll get one of them too.
So, with my trusty Celeron 400mhz computer, 196meg ram, a 30gig 7200rpm hard drive, and a multitrack program such as Cool Edit Pro or N-tracks (whatever.. I've got plenty of options).....
How many audio tracks will I be able to handle (playback / recording) without any computer slowdown and "skips" in the recording?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
