is N-Track unlimited tracks? or is there a limit...? I'm trying to have a set-up in my rental house while my new house is being built...

As many tracks as your computer can handle, and as many simultaneous inputs as your soundcard offers.

It's not uncommon that I work with 24 track 24/44 projects.

Slackmaster 2000

I guess alot of us have tried it, but i did a test with like a 30 second clip and kept going and going seeing how many i could record.....i gave up somewhere in the 50's......

In testing out my new 2.5Ghz DAW, I loaded up 35 full-length stereo 24-bit/44.1kHz tracks (approx. 60Mb each) and they played by effortlessly with the CPU meter only hitting 10%.

You'll probably run out of CPU steam from plug-ins and soft synths than from track count on most PCs nowadays....

Hard drive bandwidth is also an issue.

I work with 24/96 audio - and things definitely start to get hairy as I climb upwards of 30 tracks.

for 24/96, 30 tracks is smokin'......what are your computer specs?.......

dual MP1600 w/ 512MB DDR, Standard 7200rpm ATA HD.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a serial ATA Raid array. Then maybe in 6months try to go 64bit.

Also, I'm using 2 Delta1010s. It works, but it definitely less stable than when I was using just one.
