how long does it take for you to record a perfect take?

haha I re-read what I wrote and messed up.

what I mean is how do you record tempo changes? Such as going from 180 bpm 16th notes, to 135 bpm 8th notes.

Set up the time signatures in the sequencer and turn the click track on.

If you still keep screwing up the change, punch in. But really, I would say practice them until you don't screw them up.

i have the band play the tune live whilst i find the two tempos using a tap tempo thingamajigger. then i map the click. since the click is right where they're comfortable playing it, it will usually be a piece of cake for them. (if they're a good band. if they're not, they shouldn't be recording, they should be practicing.)

Guitar takes usually 2 or 3. Bass guitar usually 2 or 3. Drums 200 to 300 :)
Use to be 300 to 400 I guess I am improving on the drums

I play extreme metal so my mindset is: if I can get it in one take, it's too slow. I'm a drummer though
