is it a good idea to buy a (matched) pair of 603's when miking an acoustig guitar? or will a single one do the same?

We had one pretty much on the edge of the dust cover and the other about midway between the edge of the speaker cone and the dust cover. Both were on-axis.
I was pleasantly surprised with the results on the Mesa. I have tried the 603s on my guitar amp many times and never liked the results. But the NT5s on the Mesa sounded pretty damn good.
