I knew they couldn't be right. Thanks for setting the world back to normal, Diggy. :)

Christianity. Apparently they nailed the bugger to the cross and caused all this hoohar!

Since I grew a beard I frequently get asked to do the 'Jesus Christ Pose'.
Complete strangers sometimes. I'm surprised tourists don't pose with me.

When I have a beard, I get stopped and asked if I'm Chuck Norris.
no kidding.

I think techincally its D.A.W.

However, I've heard professionals who sell DAWs pronounce it daw (D-aahh). Which means they have given in to pop culture and went with the flow.

as a side note programming databases in SQL (Software Query Language ) is pronounced See-qwill, and the earth still rotates, the sun still comes up in the morning, etc.. :-)

more and more people call it a Daw, not D.A.W.

Funny, I had a friend years ago who looked like john mcenroe. He was in Germany, and he was asked, and he said he was, beeing a smart-ass that he is, he even autographed something for the germans and let them take his picture. :p

I pronounce it "wad". But I'm dyslexic.

Really. I swear to dog!

The best parallel I can think of is KKK, which, if pronounced as a word, sounds like stuttering.
