So for instance, in a minor, an e minor or d minor pentatonic is still in the right key, just emphasizing a different mode. So it's not in the wrong key, it's just phrased around a different tonal center. Lots of players do this.
wo! Is it true or not? I play guitar for about 13 years now, almost all I know are the main notes on my guitar, and how works the volumes on my LesPaul! That kind of discussion always impressed me! But..., Steve Vai and X other -great- guitar players are soooo boring. Impressive! -But boring.
Music, at least for me, should be cool to listen. Not to impressed people in any way, like 99% of what we can see on tv. Anyway, pretty sure most people here think the same thing hu?
So about Metallica, I heard almost nothing from them till 1992, when I got bored by the Black album. I was a Metallica fan from aroung 1986 - Master- so I dont like what their doing right now,(well the little I heard) but to me they can do whatever they want, Metallica will always be great. They can now do what JudJud did a few years ago, I will still respect them. You know JudJud right? If not, you HAVE to. http://www.mp3it.com/artist.php?artist_id=38
For the question -Do you get that heavy sound?
I'll simply say to get the same gear, and the same tech. hu!
Or cut the midz...if it makes you think you sound like them, good!
Can you go as fast as a F1 with your hyundai accent? (yes..that's what I own...)
---just to mention--- My favorite guitar soud is actually on the Queen Of The Stone Age album. Some songs sounds so cool!!!
Ciao!
