Unfortunately the Korg D888 only transmits mtc and cannot lock to an external time code.
So I tried the following method and its works suprisingly well:
The korg has a metronome program and when you save a song or power down, the click is always in the exact same space. With this in mind, one can simply input the click into the 424 and simply use the rtz function of the 424 when tracking or mixing down.
Every time I experimented using this the click from the Korg was dead on with the 424 thus tracking or mixing down is in sync.
this way I can use the 8 tracks from the korg and use 4 tracks from the 424 for drums,etc.
I havent done this yet but will post any problems or (hopefully) solutions. The Korg comes with Cubase software which would probably be the easiest(?) way to edit everything but my puter has defective dvd and cd drives.
I am hoping to score a dedicated puter someday for this. But in the meantime this should work fine.
