hoping for feedback

hey all, hoping for a little feedback on the drums and bass. this is Steven Slate for the Drums and Superior Drummer for the Cymbals.. the bass is done with Trilian Bass. please critique the sound not the song. lol.

I think for some genres and some people, they'll think it sounds great.

Here are my thoughts.

The cymbals are a little too focused on the high end. They're just a bit thin.

The snare sounded a little unnatural. Not too bad, but a little like a 22 rifle.

The kick had too much click in its attack.

The rapid fire fills and whatnot had that "midi precise machine gun" sound.

I agree. Again it may be genre specific. There is no sense of space here. More like a drum machine to me than a kit in a room. But that may be what you are going for.
