Hooking a Yamaha MG to a soundcard?

I can't seem to get any sound out of my Yamaha MG10 mixer. I've got RCAs going from "REC out" on the MG into the audio ins on my audiophile 2496. It only has two sets (1 in, 1 out) of RCAs so I know I've got that right. I'm guessing I've got to change some settings within the recording software (Ableton Live lite 4) but I can't figure it out. I just want to record a single mic, it shoudn't be this difficult. Any insights?
Thanks
Adam

I'm not familiar with that card or software. Are you sure your signal is making it out of the MG10 mixer? Do you hear anything using headphones or speakers from the mixer?

Yeah, I connected the mixer to the RCA ins on my Crate Amp just to be sure it was sending out a signal. I still can't figure it out. I think there is something wrong with the inputs on my soundcard.

You have to probably go into your Control Panel and unselect mic and select LINE IN. Just browse around a little, there is 2 spots if I recall that need to be selected to route the signal properly. Thats how it was with my SB.
