IM NEW TO THIS MESSAGE BOARD SO FIRST THING I SAY IS HELLO TO ALL. NOW DOWN TO BUSSINESS. I HAVE BEEN USING CUBASIS FOR AWHILE AND IM OUTGROWING IT. NOW I WAS THINKING OF BUYING CUBASE VST 5.0 OR JUMPING THE STEINBERG SHIP AND BUYING LOGIC AUDIO PLATINUM. A SALESMAN AT A STORE IS GONNA PUMP THE MORE EXPENSEVE ONE, BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. WHICH DO U GUYS THINK IS BETTER? AND WHAT FEATURES ON THEM MAKE U SAY SO ?

it depends on the hardware u have.... i have use 1 dsp factory with LAW 4.5 and it gives me 16 tracks with no problems... i heard that cubase has a better configuration with dsp factory tho' i haven't tried it yet... i'm about to download the demo, i suggest u do the same. (there is no demo for logic)

Heres my deal. I've been using VST for a little over a year now. I like b/c I know it, but as you probably know it has it's problems. When I worked at a music store this summer everyone I talked to said that Logic kicks VST around. It has a higher learning curve. When I upgrade it will be with Logic..... that's just my needs, plus I like the idea of haveing two completely different programs to work with.

HEY JOE I COULD NOT AGREE MORE...I WAS THINKIN THAT IF THERE WAS A SONG THAT I WOULD BE BETTER OFF DOIN IN VST THEN I HAVE THAT OPTION AND VICE VERSA....THANX FOR CONFIRMING SOMETHIG I THOUGHT TOO... BUT I WANT SOMEON WHO HAS ACTUALLY USED BOTH TO TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK...I DONT WANT TO BUY IT AND SOMEONE SAY SOME THING LIKE: "FOR THAT MONEY YOU SHOULD HAVE GOT ________"
