Anyone know of any cool looking home theater speakers? I'm searching for ideas for a client ameneties area here at work (post production facility).
This big room is going to have a 52-60" HDTV, DVD player, XBox360, connections from our Avid systems, etc., and I want the speakers to look slim, sleek and cool. Audio quality is important, yes, but I'm not looking for studio monitors of any sort. Just something to please the clients and has that wow factor. They'll have to be wall or ceiling mounted as we are trying to keep everything off the floor. I'm looking for a surround system (5 channel with sub).
Thanks

I got some Northridge series off JBL's eBay outlet store. These things rock!!!!

They have some wall mounts and a sub. You should be able to fix him up for cheap. The ones I got were on sale at Best Buy for $280 each; I got the pair for $225 shipped!

And they also have some very nice Harmon-Kardon receivers.

Without spending an exhorbitanat amount of money, maybe take a look at some Definitive's or Paradigm's:)

honestly, the new samsung home theater in a box systems are pretty impressive sounding. their new lcds blow away any other tv i've ever seen. last year they were very lackluster but this year they're definitely destroying the competition.

yeah, I've seen their new TVs at the store playing the new Fight Night for the XBox360...incredible image. I know a lot of that has to do with the game itself, but jeez, the TV doesn't seem to ruin the graphics one bit when receiving the information from the console.
I'll keep the theater-in-a-box in a mind. Thanks

www.cadencestore.com

I've got the towers, rear channel and center and they not only look damn nice, they sound great too, at a price that won't bend you over and leave you to dry hump your wallet.

I would hope that Barefoot is maybe a little out of your budget for the intended purpose. Or at least if it is you have ALL the other stuff you could ever want:D

You might want to take a lok at used Dynaudio's as well. Dynaudio has a studio, a home, and a car line. Also, head on over to www.audiogon.com They will have some cool stuff there;)

B&W 602.5's in the front, 602's (or 601's) in the rear, and whatever the center channel in that series is (I forgot). Quality sound without breaking the bank.
