AH! A Troy FAN!!!!!!!

YES!!!
I love the way he plays and the work on the first "A Perfect Circle" album and live with APC(Look to the left aye!) and QOTSA!
I bought a Epiphone DOT because of him..........
I am a big dude (6ft 3inches and 275lbs) so the epidot fits my body better than a strat or lespaul and the tone is nice!
I like how it will feed back when I want it too. just whatch were you stand when you are playing and you can controll the FB!

Have a good look at the DOT and the Ibanez Artcore series they are nice for under $400!!!

My 335 never feeds back on me, resonate if I want her to yes, but no feedback.

I've got an Epi Dot which for $400 is a well made guitar with plenty of tone and it plays well.

I've looked at some of the Ibenez semi-hollow guitars and while I've never been an Ibenez fan, the semi's I tried felt and sounded very good for the price.

I think every guitar player should at some point try a semi-hollow. While they do tend to sound more "mellow" than something like a Tele, I find I can get some nice bite when I need it.

Thanks for all your input guys, I went to a few stores and tried out quite a few hollow bodies and have come to the conclusion that they are right for me. I love the mellow sound to them. I'm looking into the Dot right now and a few other models mentioned on this thread (of the cheaper persuasion). Thanks so much for everyone's help, once again this board proves to be the most reliable source of musical input around, and the members are awesome. Thanks again.
