Hey Guys.....

Here's a new tune called "HOLDIN' ON"..............

“HOLDIN’ ON”

It’s early in the morning
Another day, another restless night
I sip my cup of coffee
It’s okay, it’s gonna be alright
Sometimes times can get hard
Little things will drive you up a wall
I’m walking on a tightrope
And it’s a long, long way to fall

It’s spiritual suicide
For you to worry through the night

(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares

I really need to remember
Where I’m from and how far I’ve come
I fought my share of battles
Some I’ve lost, some I’ve won
This world can be so cold
A bitter pill you try to swallow whole
I act like it doesn’t affect me
But you know, sometimes it slows my roll

Some things will never change
I’ll just ride this tidal wave

(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here at the foot of the cross
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems all hope is lost

(Musical Bridge)

(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here at the foot of the cross
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems all hope is lost

Hey Guys....

I'm gonna add 1 more instrument probably 1/2 way through the 1st verse to the end of the tune......

At first it was gonna be possibly electric guitar.....

Now I was kinda thinking about "steel guitar".....Anyone have any thoughts on this ????

Steve, sounds fantastic. Really professional quality. Can't find fault with anything. Mix, timing, performance, levels all sound excellent. Wouldn't change a thing.

GUITAR ZERO....

While many agree with you there are 2 sides to the fence .......SO............

I'm gonna have another electric guitar added and a splash of steel guitar this week....we'll see how it pans out...These guys are pros and won't overplay

Thx for listening

Sounds real good. I don't hear anything in the mix that distracted or kept me from being able to enjoy the music. Sounded pretty much radio worthy to me.

I actually think a little steel guitar and/or electric placed judiciously would add a lot. I just meant to say that what's already there sounds too good to change. You can always take it out later if you don't like it or if it gets too busy. Again, great job. Hats off to your studio crew

Really good song, arrangement and performance.

The mix sounds overly bright in the 4 -8 kHz range to me, giving it a little too much edge.
