hissing

Hey,

I am getting a lot of hissing before I record vocals. I am using protools 5.2 LE and using digi 001 rack. I can't seem to find out what the problem is, does anyone else have this problem?

Gain mismatch in the signal chain is my guess.... you've got one piece of gear set too low and the next one set too high (to compensate)...

do you mean the gain on digi 001 rack?

I mean whatever gear's in your signal path from the sound source to the recorder... (mic, mic pre, soundcard, etc...)
