No, not really. Tamburine is best played by hand... ;)

You don't like the hard driven guitars from the songs from MP3.com?

Porter
Wops, didn't see this post. Are you talking about my songs?

If that's the case, I like the songs. It's just that production could be so much better... ;)

Pedey,

You are concentrating to hard... if that is what your doing... it's either that or you need to clean out your pants :D

Moskus, np... I'll download them heh

I'm still working on getting this song in progress.... practicing bass skills atm...

Has anyone from the Cakewalk group done a colobration... ie on person records drums, the other sequences the stings, the other guitar, the other sing etc??

Just curious,

Porter

That was a nice piece of polished turd!!!!!

About 4 songs down the track I want to get an orchestra like that :D I have most of the arrangements... just need to add the 'after touches' etc....

Mate... when I saw you there I thought... should I try the harmonica on the track I'm about to record.... then thought no... but it might work on the 3rd song I want to record.

Hey! I didn't know you could use Outlook as a multitracker.... :D

Yeah, I lied...I don't even use HS2002, I use Outlook. It's quite easy actually, when you get used to it. ;)

HAHAHHAHAHA

Each person sends him a wav file and he mixes it!!!

Porter

Yeah, that's how it works...

To mix it, I use a mp3 player per track. So for the bass wav I use Winamp (very warm, very warm), and for drums I use Musicmatch (better transients)....

It's really hard to sync 'm, that's true

Now, that's creative music-making! :D

And when you're done, you can probably just e-mail to your friends. Does Waldo accept e-mails?

Pedullist Breaks Out

I DID IT! I ordered the Terratec!
Pedullist my man, did you thoroughly research the Terratec EWS88MT & EWS88D? They are both probably more expensive that the DMX 6Fire, but I believe they may be more, how shall I say, professional than the DMX 6Fire.

And does the breakout box mean a transmigration to SONAR? You know, multi-inputs and all that it implies.

Am I to be left alone struggling with HS2002???

Well at least Perth Glory won the National Soccer League Grand Final this arvo. :)

Come On Glory! Come On Glory!

And the Freo Dockers won.
And the West Coast Eagles won.
Pity about the weather though... :(

BluesMeister

I'm not professional. But I'd like to have something more professional than the Audigy (and the Audigy has the same kind of breakoutbox-y thing, I can't miss it really)

EWS88MT is way too big and professional for me. I have to buy an external mixing board for that, plus I have to buy SONAR to make full use of it. I don't have the money for that. Still need to buy a steelstring guitar and lots of presents for my wife.

Look, I never record more than one stereo track at the time and my studio is a small room (intended for babies, but I make music not babies ;) )....I don't even know where to put a mixing board. So no multi-inputs and SONAR for me.

So we're still buddies, Bluesmeister...even more: now we BOTH use Terratec.

Btw ,if the latency of the Terratec turns out to be 50ms using the WDM drivers I'm going to kill you all...grrrrrrrrr :D

Pedey,

Do you ever record other people or just yourself.... I thought I'd get prepared soon than later when I bought my sound card... 8 tracks at once. One day 8 tracks should cover a drum kit (hopefully!!!).

Porter

I have no friends...no need to rub it in Porter...

:D
