Don't think you get away with it that easily! There's some additional guitar that comes in around 4:50 that you may want to have a try at. It sounds to me like an Eb Lydian played up around the 11th fret.
Your lead break sounded very close to my own interpretation too. What does that say about our guitar playing???

Don't be too hard on yourself Bill. Getting out of a musical rut is not an easy thing to do. Exploring different modes and scales can lead to some interesting ideas.wfaraoni said:Hmmm, trying not to insult here but I have a very poor opinion of my playing, I think Im my own toughest critic.
I try to steer my compositions away from the predictable, particularly in the Blues genre, of which I'm rather fond (bet you'd never guessed!) I find that switching between neck and bridge pickups, dialling down the tone and so on, avoids the "everything sounds the same" syndrome.I feel like I am always playing the same thing and still flub up with timing and noise issues.
It's never too late to take lessons, Bill. I'm seriously thinking of taking them up again to lift my playing.I have yet to get a guitar lesson and have had very little one on one playing experience so I am "really" self taught.
OK, it's a deal Bill, your place or mine? In fact over the next few days let me rummage through my musical archives and see if I've got anything worthy of working on.Maybe we could put something together one day kind of a Q & A type simple Jam thing. could be interesting.
Hey, Roland and kurzweil may claim have greatest piano sound on earth, but brass, woodwind, reed, and horns ??? KORG rules !!!wfaraoni said:Bring on the hornsI Just got a korg triton le but havent had time to use/learn it yet ,,, It does have some great horn sounds though
