Last night in an attempt to get some tracks recorded fast so that I wouldnt lose what I was writing, I plugged a tape deck into the slave out of my head. Well, the dirty sound was very thin and transistory, as is usually the case when doing that, but the clean sound direct was REALLY nice.
Just wondering if any of you have used your head to track a bass through it that way. I have a feeling it would be quite fat. I'd like to hear some comments, or better yet, results.
This could be my bass D.I. eventually, too.

I have a MKIII Simul and have had success using both the effects send & the direct out for tracking bass. Just watch out for the gain factor. It's real easy to clip the wrong stuff. I usually run it in clean mode with the pre volume about 5-7.
