rec.audio.pro will also eat newbies for lunch and dinner, and as in-between snacks. Basic questions are best posted here, or in alt.music.4-track, a more forgiving newsgroup for recording.
I've posted here a few times in the Rack and in the Mixing forum as well as the Cave. Most of the time, I'll be found in the Mic forum here, my own forum and some of the other forums on recording.org, Al Schmitt's forum at artistPRO.com, George Massenburg's or Ed Cherney's forums at EQmag.com, alt.music.4-track user group, and of course, at rec.audio.pro, my main hangout. I also post from time to time at alt.music.bryds, rec.music.folk, and rec.music.makers.songwriting, if I feel I have something useful to contribute.
