I posted by my post seemed to vanish, so here I go again :)

Not surprising, since that's what I've been listening mostly for the past months. :)

yes, the opening section has some obvious missed notes, and i would have gone back and redone that section.... but that's the only place where i hear funkiness, i'm suprised you left that in.....

The first problem I had with the intro, is that I was never happy with the clean tone, so I was a little bummed when I was trying to play something decent. Of course that's no excuse for the missed notes, although I think the guitar wasn't tuned that good, so that would probably also have the effect of missing some notes. I dunno. BTW, do you mean only the clean part, of do you mean there's missed notes in the heavy guitar intro also?

i like the counterpoint on the bass parts..... that's a real strong point, you should go there more often....

If you mean those certain riffs, where the bass guitar doesn't play excactly like the rhythm guitar, then I know what you mean. Those parts sounded weird when the bassline was following the guitar like a slave, so I messed around with those bass-parts.

did you say this is all done through a zoom? hmmm.......

Yeah, Zoom505-II, although the sound was further processed with Revalver amp-sim in the Sonar.

i like the trick ending. the clean guitar reminds me of the "nothing else matters" metallica tune.....
good playing, good mix.

I was a bit surprised that I got the ending working, and not making it the usual ending, or fade-out type thing. I kinda accidentally messed around and got it working pretty quickly. I'm glad you liked it.

CRANKED OUT ONE.......

in response to your questions......
"BTW, do you mean only the clean part, of do you mean there's missed notes in the heavy guitar intro also? "

yeah, just the clean part. the heavy part you nailed.

"If you mean those certain riffs....."
yeah, THOSE riffs! LOL
i like those.
they work great.
if you simply doubled the guitar part, it'd be cliche.... as it is, you put a twist on it.

yeah, a fade out ending would have been a cop out. it's always more interesting to hear someone work out an ending.

good work.

:D

yeah sabb...you're just slow on the draw...maybe you outta just stick to 3/4 ballads from now on....:D :D

How did I miss that one!!:D

hey Cranky,
I just blasted this tune for a buddy of mine and he was diggin it!! I just figured I'd tell you that AND I wanted to ask you if you have ever heard of a band called "Immortally Committed"

They are not popular so you probably haven't. My friend is the guitarist....and his wife is from Finnland....apparently there is a lot of people into metal over there..

Haven't heard of the band, but yes, the metal scene is pretty big here in Finland. The country is small, though (about 5.000.000 people), but in a relative way, the scene is pretty good. I've been listening to some stuff from the scene, and it's pretty good work. Just yesterday I bumped into one of my old schoolmates death-metal band on the internet. Pretty good stuff there.

DAMN! About that Megadeth. :(

I just read on the bands official website, that Dave Mustaine leaves Megadeth. The message was dated 3.4, so it can't be an april fools day joke. This shit is just horrible. He's got injury in his hand from playing too long, and that's just terrible. They just released a live album, and I thought everything was good and all, but guess what. I'm really bummed right now :(

There was a comment from him, saying that he hopes he could play the guitar again. I hope too. He's 'rebuilding' his arm and resting now, so I can only hope.

If Waldo dropped a comment, you know something like a severe ass pound took place...:D:cool:

Yeah. I appreciate the grandmaster Waldo commented it :) Less is definately more on your comments. Thank you.
