HELP WITH SOLVING A FREQUENCY "HOLE"

So I have my studio set up just like I want it. I just bought some brand new KRK monitors and set them up. I run a frequency sweep and what do you know...RIGHT at my listening position there is a "hole" at 80hz and 160hz in my left monitor field only. I have moved the monitors to a few other places and have yet to find the "sweet spot". I just ordered some bass traps that will be in next week but I'm wondering if you all have any suggestions or starting points for me to fix this. I know I won't have a wonderful listening room without the help of a professional, but all I'm really going for right now is hear all of the frequencies with some relative accuracy at my listening position so I can begin to learn my monitors and the room...a task that will be impossible until I can "fill the holes" so to speak. start by turning the mix position 90 degrees to the left or right. Then move it to 38% of the length.
What size is the room?

Even without dimensions on your drawing I can tell that your ears are either 3-1/2 feet or 7 feet from the wall behind you.

As Tonio said, rotate your setup following the 38 percent "rule." Then get as many bass traps as you can manage.

Thanks for the feedback. The size of the room is approximately 13' x 10' (the 13' being left to right in my crappy picture. So if the picture were north, south, east and west, I should start by outting the mixing position facing east or west? What does the 38 % mean exactly? My mixing position should be 38 % of the entire length away from the wall I'm facing, or the monitors? 38 % of 13' is roughly 5 feet. I have 8 bass traps coming in. They're not very big, 12" x 12" x 24" each and roughly 4" thick, but I figure a couple in each corner would at least be an improvement.

Facing east. That makes the left and right sides symmetrical for the portion between where you sit and the front of the room.

The drawing below uses a room 16.25 by 11.5 as an example.

I'd gladly calculate this for you but you never said how wide the room is left to right. Whatever it is, multiply it times 0.38 and that's how far your ears should be from the left wall you're facing.

In the diagram, what are X1 X2 X3 and Y? Also is the pink rectangle between the chair and the speaker the desk or a 'cloud' absorber overhead?

You're a huge help Ethan. I'll rearrange my room and experiment with the bass traps when they come. Thank you! So is this kind of what you recommend I do? What about the open space (like a closet without a door way)?

Actually, I'd flip it around so the speakers are at the left pointing to the right. That makes the left and right sides symmetrical around the area where you sit. With luck, your keyboard will fit nicely against the side wall in the open "closet" area.
