help with plug-ins

Howdy, all. I'm a mastering rookie and am getting lost among all the plug-ins I have available in Sound Forge 5. So many seem to do the same thing that I'm not sure which to use in conjunction with each other or in what order.

Could someone please let me know how you would set the following tools/plug-ins up in a mastering FX chain (and which one's you'd remove altogether because they do the same or similar functions)

Normalization
Waves Ultramaximizer
WaveHammer
BBE Sonic Maximizer
Etc.

waves ultramaximizer and wavehammer do the same thing, so you can't have them together

normilization

A lot of the masters frown on normilization because it kills the dynamic range. pick up the mastering engineer handbook it is good. I like yourself am into the mystic arts
