I just bought new gear like consender mike (TSM MT87S with pad and low cut) Mixer is a Compact mixer (Phonic MU1002 with two mike lines) and soundcard is M-Audio Audiophile's 24/96.. my friend has the same hardware as i but the thing is that im not pleased with the quality of the sound... my friend doesn't have the same problem.. his s*** sounds decent 
.. Im using adobe audition 2 to record (ASIO drivers are switched ON, im recording stereo with 24/96) but im not sure if im using the right ratio or threshold when compressing the vocals.. With EQ around 16db the sound is "pretty" clean but i think it's too clean.. at least i think the sound much be richer. I hope someone could help me!!
