Hy everybody,
i''m planning to buy i mic pre for my neumann m147(wich i use only for vocals).
But i don't have any idea about mic pre's!!!
Should i buy a solid state mic pre or a tube one? Someone told me that i have tube mic already.. and i should buy a solid state mic pre, otherwise the sound gonna be too warm and crispy!
I have few mic pre's in mind(but if someone knows any good mic pre, i'm open to suggestions)
-Grace design model 101 or Lunatec V3
-Trident S20
-Focusrite track master or Focusrite Penta
Is it better to get a channel strip or a mic pre(Do I really need EQ and Comp while i'm recording?)
I'd rather spend less than 1000$ but,if there is big difference in term of quality, i can reach 1500$
Basically i need only one channel for recording the voice.
I hope someone can help me out. Thank you!!
