I bought a SB Audigy Card (OEM) and use it with Windows XP Professional. I have tried to get signal in through the AUDIO IN, but it does not work. I tried to configit many different ways: Windows Control Pannel and checked all Mixer's player, recorder, and checked hardware configurations etc... Believe me, I worked with Sound Blaster Live much easier than Audigy 1 Card. I checked the volume of every aspect, nothing's mute or disable. It still does not respond.

In Cakewalk Sonar, I could see the sound card there (under I/O tab). Set it in, but there is no signal.

I used the different Mikes to test. Mikes work fine, the signal is shown on the external mixer's LED, no signal comes into SB's Audio Input.

Anyone had the same problem and figure out a solution, please help me. Otherwise, I will have to go back to SB Live card.

Thanks,
Alan

Hang on Alan...
recheck the Windows mixer, and make sure you select Line in as a recording source. Not only playback. Open the Windows mixer, Options --> Properties --> Recording. Select Line in. And then route your signal through the Line in. Is that helps ?

Thanks James,
I did that already and it did not help at all. That's why it made me so crazy... Currently, are you using Audigy card ? ..and you're not having any problem with recording thru Line In? You're really lucky!

Actually the Mixer in Win XP Prof. doesn't have Line In separately, but it shows as Analog In that, as Creative reveals, includes CD Audio, Line In, Auxiliary etc. Creative tips tell if you want to record using External Device, enable this. I did and It did not do any sh..t .

I appreciate if you or anyone give me some assistance or have other solutions.

Thanks,
Alan
