Help? Recording .wav from Pro Tools and Loading in Cool Edit

I have been recording sounds from Pro Tools to .wav format and then loading them to Cool Edit. When I do this the sound of the .wav changes. How do I get my sounds from Pro Tools to Cool Edit without the alteration?

I am only doing this because I make percussion sounds (.cel files) in Battery 2 but cannot not save them as .wav.

I've never used Pro Tools but they might be using a different WAV file format.

Find a WAV file that was recorded from ProTools, and right-click the file, and click "Properties". There should be a Summary tab that you can click to view the audio format. You might have to click the "Advanced >>" button for it to show. Tell us what the file/audio format says.
