help on delta 1010

ok,
So I have Cool Edit Pro and I like it a lot. Right now I just have 1 channel recording capabilities and I would like to be able to have 8 channel capabilities. If I bought a Delta 1010 card and a mixing board that has 8 channel inserts would I be able to record all 8 channels at one time?

Yes, provided your computer is powerful enough and optimized. I often record 8 tracks on the delta 1010 at a time, PIII 800MHz. (can be done with much lower CPU spec, I also did this using a Celeron 450 (overclocked 300A)).

I just bought a Delta 1010 for church recording. If you haven't purchased it yet, check out bayviewproaudio.com Same price as everyone else except bonus $400 mic. I am also using Cool Edit Pro, but haven't quite got everything to work right. The M-Audio software picks up signals just fine, but Cool Edit doesn't.
