Could someone who owns a Korg D-1600 (I've only had it a few weeks) give me some feedback as to how to mixdown properly? When you bounce 16 tracks (or whatever) down to two do (and I'm still confused as to why you bounce to channels one and two!!)you need to pan those channels to the left since you're bouncing to channels one and two and what about channels one and two....Does 1 need to be panned to the left and 2 to the right. I've just tried to do my first mixdown and burn it to a CD and it SUCKS!! It sounded great when all the channel faders were up, etc.

I'd love to run across somebody who could clue me in as to all the little "tricks" they have learned about using the unit. I think I'm going to like it if I ever get the hang of it.

If your bouncing from a sub-mix, or bouncing from the currently open mix, obviously whatever effects and/or eq will be applied to the bounce.(which doesnt have to be channel one and two-could be 3 or 4 if you wanted.) I usually have my panning placed out and bounce to two tracks centered. then if I want I can pan those out.-keep in mind your final master effect(usually a MB Limiter) will be applied to all channels, that is, if you use one. I know the machine very well and will be happy to answer any questions as best I can. ;)
