hey guys, i just got the deal of the century today. Some college guy sold me a Firepod for $40 dollars today. He told me it had problems syncing with firewire to the computer and that it would have to be sent to presonus for repair, but it could still be used as a standalone mixer. Well, I figured I might as well connect it to my powermac g4 to see if I could get any luck. And I installed the fire control software, but it seems to be faded out where I select the sync. It is always on internal and I cant change it. I finally got the firepods sync light to light up blue( which is supposed to show that it is working correctly) but the control software still wont let me select anything. I figured I would install cubase le to see if it was working and cubase keeps having an error installing. Would updating OSx 10.4.11 help anything? Also is it gonna cost me to have it repaired? Any tips?
