If you're looking for immediate noticeable improvement in vocals ( and a few other things ) get the NTK first. Works wonders getting something out front in a mix. Then work on getting the amp. I'm getting some really good clean vocals with an NTK and some cheap old Soundcraft pres. Also gettin some excellent acoustic guitar recording with a 603 and the NTK. Good mics are nice! Yeah an NTK and a Sytek, sounds good. $1,300.00.

let's leave fletcher and gm on a deserted island with a tube mp and see if they use it for anything other than something to crack cocoanuts with.

How the fuck can you guys use my name and George's in the same sentence?

I'd use it to crack coconuts because that's about all I'm fit to do... George would figure out a way to turn the fucking thing into a transmitter and get off the fucking island!!!

The man is a fucking genius... I'm a pimp. Do the math.

If you're only a pimp, I'm a lowly pimple on your butt. :D

O.K. let me see if I've got this straight.

If GM is "the Professor", and Fletcher is "the Skipper".
(too good of a AE to be the next character BTW)
Who's "Gilligan"?

Or most importantly-where do Ginger and Maryann sleep?
(why are we planning to leave the island again?:))

All this boils down to you'd be well off giving the Skipper-
oops I meant Fletcher a call sometime to help navigate
through the sea of various mic/pre combos.

Perhaps even a "three hour tour" of Mercenary Audio.
Sorry, couldn't resist!

Chris
