Here's my setup:
Mixer: Yamaha MG 10/2
http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/products/mixer/a_mixer/mg_series/mg10_2/index.htm
USB Soundcard: Edirol UA1A (1 out - 1 in)
http://www.edirol.com/products/info/ua1a.html
Cubase SX 2.2.39
USB AUDIO driver 2.55
I need to record my guitar and monitor previously recorded music in cubase at the same time without using headphones.
The mixer has a rec out, but if I connect there I will feed the card line IN with the pc sound and there will be a loop. (The Pc is connected to the mixer)
Every channel has AUX1-OFF-AUX2, I can send signal through AUX SEND 1 to the card and just send the guitar to the computer. Using this method I only get 1 Channel (Left) and the signal is too loud and can't level it from the mixer, it gets distorted. I don't know if this AUX out is stereo or mono.
How can I connect this mixer to my soundcard and record just the signal I want and keep listening to the pc in my monitors?
Willy.
