All of my guitars are considered shit by a lot of other players, but I DON'T give a shit. I am the one fingering the fretboard. I am the one who has to like the tone. The way it feels in my hands, only matters to me, not ANYONE else. Saying that all guitars that cost less, or do not have a Gibson or Fender name on them...(made in America) seems a bit closed-creatively. If there is something in paticular one does not like about a brand...then don't get it. Just don't try spoonfeeding your opinion to others. I love my SAMICK, LTD, TRADITION, SPECTOR, REGAL, CRAFTER, etc. It isn't the guitar anyway. I can't play fer shit, and a $4000.00 geetar ain't gona change that...only my love and persistance of the axe will. I have yet to know an EXCELLENT axeman, who sounded like shit on a cheap guitar, nor have I heard a lousy axeman, NOT sound like shit on an expensive one. The amp doesn't make the player either...just embellishes what is already there. All truth be known of skills, when you get down to basics with an acoustic. No pedals, amps, etc.
No, I am not saying gear sucks, just making a point, that either you play good or ya don't...equipment or not!!!

I love Gibson and Fender. I used to own
a GIBSON Les Paul Custom myself. I want to try a JACKSON too!!!
Try on all the guitars you are interested in and go with the one that feels and sounds good to you....within your budget of course!!! You have to decide if you want to go for a better guitar or amp, or if ya want to split the cost. I am sure, you're smart enough to sift through all of the answers you've been given, and figure out what is best for
you. Just don't base it on hearsay, gather the advice, then try it all on in actuality. If you find what you really want, is still not within your reach financially at the moment.....be patient. Save a bit more. The reward will be worth it in the end. Til then keep playing and practicing your skills. Rawk on !!
