HELP: Choosing a Bass Kick mic

jesus christ...this kid says he's not even willing to pay $160 for a mic, and people keep mentioning stuff that costs twice that amount even

just buy the damned ATM25 and be done with it

its not out of your price range, just wait. dont buy crap, because then you will have to buy another mic and the money for the crap mic will be wasted.

slow down, take your time and buy good stuff.

better off getting a 57 for the time being, its not very good at all as a kick mix, but when you get a good one, atleast it won't go to waste.

Believe it or not I have used a Samson CO-1 for kick on a recording ($69 brand new) and it sounded great! ( and I have a D112, E602, Beta 52, MD421, and more) :cool:
 
Hollowdan: Are you serious? I have one of them... But wouldn't they get damaged easily? Thats the only thing that worries me if I use that to record with... I want my mics to last
