Help adjusting R8 reel table height

Hi,

I'm trying to adjust the reel table height on a Fostex R8 but I can't rotate the cup.Tried with a soldering iron to melt the glue n the housing screw then with pliers with no luck. Any ideas how to do that?

Sorry,SpirosG. That attached image, and Fig 4 doesn't make any sense to me. Is there some component missing, from the views?
I'm not familiar with that Model.

Maybe use some small vice grip pliers? I know you hate to force it, but that is not a user friendly design.
Are you sure the reel table height needs adjusting & there's not some other solution?

You should not ever need to adjust this. But if you really have to then try applying some pure acetone or acetone based nail polish remover, use q-tip swab and apply all around to soak the old "paint-glue", let it sit for a minute, it should get softer.

btw, there's nothing missing there :)
