Hello Everyone! HELP!!!

I am pretty new to home recording world.

This is my first thread!
So, here I am starving to learn from all of you
that already you were once like me!

Using Logic Express 8
I have M-Audio Mobile Pre USB

I am sure all connections are right and
I need to record my guitar sound to Audio Track in Logic Express 8

But something is going wrong!

MobilePre USB recognizes my mic which is already connected to MobilePre USN but not my guitar.

Why can't I record my guitar sound? What is wrong do you think?

I don't think the MobilePre will recognize your guitar cause its not hooked up USB. Is your mic USB?? cause if it is then that's why it does recognizes your mic. Just hook up your guitar jack right to the mobilepre audio input....and just press record in logic and away you go. Hope this helps.

In the end, I solve the problem.

Guess what?

My acoustic guitar's battery was empty.

What a stupid reason, right!?

It happens. I didn't know that leaving my bass with active pickups plugged into the amp would drain the battery when I first got it. Learned the hard way when I was there trying to change it out and delaying the start of a gig a good 10 minutes...

Entirely possible it will be just one among many stupid things ya do. At least it works that way with me.

I remember I fought with a mic problem for almost an hour. I was gettin kinda pissed cuz it was a new mic.

I forgot to turn the phantom power on.
