I have the Senheiser HD280 cans, they sound great, are a little tight on the nogg'n, but man do they isolate well. I believe the 32db reduction spec from what I've experienced. I don't mix with them (got Mackie 824s for that), but they are ideal for tracking vocals with. I mean you could blast these things while swallowing a fat condenser with plenty or mic pre gain without getting bleed. Awesome.
I heard the top-line Sonys are great also.
