Head Suggestions for Piccolo Snare

I'm not a drummer.

I ordered a Pearl M1330 piccolo snare this morning and I'm looking for recommendations on batter and resonant heads. It will only be used for recording.

I record a wide variety of genres, but the majority of the time it's pretty heavy stuff - rock, metal, etc.

I use a Pearl 3"x13" in both maple and steel (I love the maple but don't really use the steel that often)

In both cases I use the stock resonent head that came on both drums - however, I did replace the batter head with Evans vented (big fan of that head!!!) I've been very satisfied with both the live and recorded sound.

I've recieved comments from several other musicians (drummers and other) - in particular on the Maple - and know of two other drummers who went out and bought the same drum because "it sounds like what a snare should sound like".
