looking for a more accurate way of monitoring.currently i'm arming a track on the alesis and monitoring the signal from the alesis o/p thru the soundcraft ghost tape ins to the studio outputs to a samson s-phone amp and the signal sounds like #@*&^ nothing like whats actually being recorded to the hard drive on the alesis, which sounds KILLER(This is just luck).how am i suppose to check mic placement, etc. if i can't monitor the actual sounds being recorded.how do you monitor?
The signal path you ahve been using on the Ghost though is opne of the paths that likely got the cheaper parts and less attention. Switching to the mix path may really change things
