Pinky
and The Brain...
Okay, I finally had a chance at home to listen to this.
Vocals remind me of a bootleg I have with Les Claypool (Primus) doing Spirit of Radio no justice. Nasally and uninspired.
Drums, bass, and guitar playing (great lead work
) all top notch. The vocalist can sing, just can't sing Rush.
At 3:00 or so I heard you breaking into another Rush cover (which would technically make it a medley?). I always thought Working Man was stretched a bit. maybe bust out with the last half of Finding My Way or something, to give it that roundness of 'early Rush'.
I still think you could do any one of 100 other Rush songs instead. I own all of their material, even some bootleg stuff, all the DVDs, and the only album/commercial release I don't own is their first record. It sucks. They sucked without Neil. Ask Ged or Alex and they'd be the first to admit the band would never have become what it did without him.
