Hi,

I am new here.

I was wondering if anyone else has used the Behringer Minimod 800?
Since the Truth 2031 monitors have no volume contol, Behringer recommened this to me. I have it & it seems to work great, but I am wondering if I am getting a little distortion.

Thank you,
Sonny

Yes I have it, no I don't get any distortion. I compared it with a passive switcher and noticed no difference, and I wired it up so I pushed one button on the passive switcher I heard the mini mon and another button just the passive switcher. I heard no difference in the sound coming out.

Hi, yes that is what I have. Since the Truth Monitors have no volume control, Behringer suggested this. It has nice features. I come out of my Tascam Recorder into the Minimod. From there out to the Monitors & I now have a volume control.

Can also rour this to other sources to scheck your mix...ie: home stereo.

I relistened again, maybe just me, thought it sounded a little distorted.

What do you mean by a Passive Switcher?

Thank you,
Sonny

A 'passive switcher' is just that --- a straight connection between amp and speaker with no circuits or components in between that could interfere with the sound.

You could be either hitting the mini mon to hard or to softly, what do you meters look like on the mini mon? Your not hitting into the red are you?
