First time post: on hard disk recording
Using Soundforge to record songs.
I record a .wav, no prob, i.e. drums
I record a new .wav, i.e. guitar part. no prob (using a another cd player to listen to as a timing guide)
Now, when I copy and past using the Mix option the guitar track over the Drum track, the timing of the guitars seems to get aout of sync with the drum track.
Its as if the clip board slighty shrinks the size of the guitar track.
The work around is to copy and past section at a time on to the master .wav, so it doesn't lose the timing.
I have a basic sound card, 300mhtz PC and 64 meg of ram.
If this a limitation of a piece of harware/software or is it just 'the way it is'?
Thanks
