Here is a link to my very first try at writing/recording with Sonar!

http://www.interprom.com/currentproject.htm

Please note, this is only a "scratch pad", and not a complete song. I'm more just trying out ideas.

- Lyrics are made up and will change
- Instrumentation will change in some cases (Guitar will be played live, not MIDI)
- It's NOT mixed very well - no point yet
- It's only a couple of verses so far
- Vocal performance will be more carefully sung

I guess I just want to get some constructive criticism (remembering the above please <grin>) in order to see that I'm on the right track.

Thanks! (he said nervously)

Are you liking Sonar?
I use CWPA 9.03 and have not switched yet since it basically does what I need it to do. But I have been thinking of it.

Anyway,
Sounds very crisp and clean. I would definatly get a real Guitar in there. As the other guy said the bass does seem pretty repetitive but most of what I do is really repetitive so it did not bug me much.

The beat has a nice groove with the song.
Maybe a couple more instrument parts to spice it up.

nice work

The bass drone noted by others doesn't bother me -- in fact I like the way it works within the context of the rest of the piece.

Good arrangement/production. Looking forward to hearing it completed.
