I'm a newbie but I figured this is the right place to post this question. The Line 6 Guitarport which I use and love, is suppossed to be connected via the two RCA jacks for recording, but I don't see RCA inputs on these two units which I am considering buying.
Could someone let me know how the Guitarport is connected to thses units?
Is it as simple as buying some kind of jack converter or am I asking for trouble?
Thanks

You need a 1/4 to RCA cable. Two of them if you wanna record in stereo.

Just so I'm sure its RCA to 1/4 not a TRS? I've been looking at catalogues with adaptors and I'm getting crosseyed. I really don't know what a TRS is except it looks similar to a i/4 except it has two rings.
BTW do you recommend using two and going in stereo or should I do some different combo like a two rca to one 1/4.
Thanks so much for you help.

you need a plug to convert the RCA jack to a 6.5mm (1/4") normal guitar jack...like this:

then simply use standard 1/4" mono patch cables to go from the guitar port to the recorder

FYI - TRS is Tip Ring Sleeve, which means there is three wires in the cable and not two. This is also referred to as a "balanced connection" - and is usually for microphone signals. You dont get as much interference using balanced connections.

Ok last question, (or maybe not), I see that the RCA output is line level, is this Ok for plugging into what I think is called a HI-Z 1/4" guitar input?
